Nestled amidst 1.6 million acres of national forest, Crested Butte offers limitless opportunities for biking, hiking, climbing and horseback riding in seriously pristine wilderness. The abundant rivers, lakes and reservoirs play host to all manner of water sports like whitewater rafting and canoeing, whilst anglers can enjoy nearly 4000 miles of trout streams along with excellent lake fishing.

Golfing, biking and fishing tournaments are a feature of the summer months along with a plentiful supply of cultural festivities and celebrations to suit every palate – art & music festivals vie with rodeo shows and western heritage days... there’s even a Wild Mushroom Festival. Frankly, it’s a wonder how the residents of Crested Butte have the time and energy to fit it all in.
